The Lodge at Vail offers a prime location directly at the base of the gondola in Vail Village, providing convenient access to skiing and the village’s attractions. While praised for its service and location, recent reviews highlight concerns regarding room maintenance, noise issues, and inconsistent service levels, particularly related to cleanliness and responsiveness to maintenance requests.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. The location is great, but that's about the only positive. One of the main elevators was out of service, so we had to walk a long way to reach our room on the 4th floor. The biggest issue was the air conditioning—it didn't cool the room properly, even when it was nearly 90°F outside. We had to open the windows. The AC units are also extremely noisy, making it difficult to sleep, even when ours was turned off because we could hear neighboring units. Our whole family had a miserable night. I would not recommend this hotel.

I NEVER write reviews but I look at them all before booking so I hope this can help someone beforehand. Where do I start. I booked it a month in advance and spent $330 on a king room. We booked during the GoPro mountain games and we wanted to stay during the games close to the events We arrived at 7pm and was greeted by Quinn (manager?) we went into our room and it was 78 degrees in June. We turned the AC down for an hour and it actually went up to 79. We called the front desk, spoke to Quinn, and he sent someone down to fix it. The person who came to "fix" the ac just spilled water all over the floor and said wait 30-40 minutes and the AC should work. At this point it was 9pm, I just ran a 5k, and wanted to get sleep to go to the games in the morning. We waited 10 minutes and the temp went up another degree! We are at 80 degrees now and call Quinn. He offers a couple fans and a dehumidifier - We ask to move rooms and he stated that they were all booked (on hotels were all rooms from queen to king available at significantly less then what I paid for my room. Like 240) we ask for a refund and they give it to us after sitting on the phone with hotels.com. We then had to find another hotel at 9:30pm and then find parking at the games which made my following day so much harder. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, quinn then called the next day to continue saying he really would've wanted to have us stay but there was nothin he could do, well there was. You could've moved us to another room but you chose not to. I'm expecting a gaslight response from them below Go anywhere else but here.

You truly cannot beat the location. The Lodge at Vail sits right at the base of the gondola in the heart of the village—step outside and you’re basically on the mountain. For skiers, that level of convenience is hard to top. That said, the rooms are definitely dated and on the smaller side. You’re paying for location more than luxury. The property has character, but it could use a refresh. Would I stay here again? Yes—purely because of how easy it makes everything. When you can roll out of bed and be at the lift in minutes, that convenience carries a lot of weight.

We stayed at the Lodge at Vail for three nights and skied for two days, and overall we had a fantastic experience. The service was truly outstanding and easily the best part of our stay. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. From check-in to ski valet to transportation, the staff went out of their way to make sure everything was easy and enjoyable. The level of service here was noticeably better than what we have experienced at other comparable ski hotels. The location is unbeatable and made getting on and off the mountain effortless. The ski valet was excellent and very convenient. We also really appreciated the complimentary rides around town in the Toyota Sequoias, which were comfortable and made getting around Vail simple and stress-free. The pool area was great and a nice place to relax after skiing. Our room was comfortable, though it is starting to show its age and feels a bit dated. That said, it did not take away from how much we enjoyed our stay. Overall, we absolutely loved the Lodge at Vail and would happily stay here again. The incredible service, amazing location, and thoughtful amenities more than make up for the slightly dated rooms. Highly recommended, especially if you value truly exceptional hospitality.

We just finished a week-long stay at The Lodge at Vail in Unit 232. We’ve stayed at this hotel for the past six years and have never had an issue. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating, which is why this experience was so disappointing. We always book a unit with a kitchen because we enjoy preparing our own meals. Unfortunately, this unit did not have an oven, and the kitchen supplies were very bare bones, making it difficult to use. Throughout the week, we had to call maintenance multiple times. The blinds broke and we were told the solution was simply not to use them. The bathroom sink was clogged, and the bathroom faucet actually pulled right off the wall during normal use. The biggest issue, however, was finding bugs in the bed. When I notified the front desk, the response felt very nonchalant. Maintenance and housekeeping were sent to change the sheets and check the mattress, but there was little sense of urgency or concern. Upon checkout, there was no acknowledgment of the issues we experienced and no apology. We have loved staying at The Lodge at Vail for years, but this particular unit was not worth the price paid, and the lack of follow-up or accountability was very disappointing.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. Although the phone assistance wasn’t very helpful, Quinn at the front desk was amazing, kind, welcoming and very helpful. Since it was our anniversary, he upgraded us to a luxury king room with a beautiful mountain view, which made our stay extra special. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It’s a dog friendly resort with nice amenities. Elway’s Steak House is awesome!

Our family of 4 had a fantastic stay at the Lodge at Vail! The team, especially Alex, was welcoming and professional, keeping us informed of the available amenities and how to best navigate the property. He even made sure to bring kid-size robes to the hot tubs to keep our boys cozy. The room was great with natural light, convenient storage, and complete with snacks. Everything was clean and well-cared for. You truly are in the heart of the village - incredibly convenient for exploring the village and steps from the gondola, not to mention the prime ski valet location the moment you take your skis/board off. Loved the charm and lodge vibe. We will certainly be back!

this hotel was absolutely amazing!! great stay, great food, great atmosphere… however i was very confused why everytime my husband and i walked by the maids they would start giggling and sneaky pointing? My husband is a very attractive man so trust me ladies i get it and i laughed it off the first time but DAMN everytime we even pass in the hallway?? Seemed unprofessional on their end and made me feel uncomfortable.

Our experience at The Lodge at Vail was extremely disappointing. We had booked from November 26th to December 1st, but we ended up leaving the hotel within just 4 hours of checking in because the room conditions were unacceptable. The room was far too small for the price, the bathtub was leaking because the faucet wasn’t closing properly, the hand-wash basin had drainage issues, and we could hear every sound from the neighboring rooms and even the hallway. On top of that, the balcony was shared with multiple rooms, which completely destroyed any sense of privacy. Because of these issues, we requested a refund. Despite leaving almost immediately, we were told they “don’t have a refund policy.” For a property that calls itself a luxury resort, this response was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. We had no choice but to move to another hotel the same day. The entire experience felt like a waste of time and money. I hope management seriously reviews these problems, because the reality does not match the reputation or the price
