Vail Run Resort offers a unique experience with cozy cabin-style rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and a range of amenities like a pool, sauna, and shuttle service. However, recent reviews highlight inconsistent staff service and some logistical concerns, including noise and transportation challenges.
I stayed here for a week during the holidays. At first glance it was a great place. Cozy lobby with lots of amenities. I really enjoyed how the rooms had actual keys and not key cards. The pool had an underwater entrance to the outside and was heated to a great temperature. So was the sauna and hot tub. They provided free towels inside the pool and a changing room as well. The hotel had a game room and gym which both felt a little underwhelming but they were there nonetheless. The interior decor was super cute and cozy with a cabin like vibe. The shuttle is great with the drivers being very nice. The shuttle is easy once you figure out the scheduling which is a little complicated. The real issue is with the staff. The lady who manages the place was constantly rude and never wanted to answer questions. Most of the time she was at the front desk talking to her friends on speaker. She was also rude to not only guests but the rest of the staff as well. The cherry on top however was finding fleas in our room upon arrival. Overall this hotel is enjoyable but caused frustration at times.
I loved the decoration! The only problem was the distance, it was a little bit far from the village and there is a long wait between buses. The room was big and clean, just the bed was not good. We also enjoyed the pool and sauna. There is a pizza downstairs very good
I had the best experience in this place. The staff were friendly, the place was great, clean, and accommodating. They have a free shuttle to drop you off and pick you up from the grocery store and in village. Their drivers were friendly and accommodating. This place is close to tourist spots and the bus station which makes your stay convenient. Oh and my room was perfect, great view, with kitchen, and the fireplace so awesome. Not to mention when you get hungry late night there's a pizza place downstairs too. I highly recommend this place!
The hotel is very cute and my studio apartment was very comfortable. A fireplace by the bed, clean and eclectic furniture and plush rugs made it so cozy :). Terry at the front desk was very kind and accommodating! He helped me out with parking, which was much appreciated! The location is great and a quick drive to stores and restaurants. I ended up door dashing for dinner, so that was an easy option for the area as well. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Great rooms, amenities, and staff. My family and I had the best time. We enjoyed the pools, sauna, and hot tub. The pizza shop attached was s positive bonus.
This is a very unusual resort that is rough around the edges. Location was great. Room layout was just strange with a loft opening to one of the bedrooms. The outside pool area was terrific. It needs AC.
The people at the front desk were very helpful and kind to us. They went above and beyond to help us, and I am so thankful for them. The room was very clean, and the bed and couch were comfortable. Housekeeping was friendly and kept things very clean. We had car troubles, and the bus service was awesome for getting around while our car was getting fixed.
The room was ok, but the furniture was way too large for the small rooms. The four post bed obstructed the view of the TV, so you can't really watch TV while in bed. The chandelier light above the dining table hung down, obstructing the view of the TV in the living room. There's no air conditioning, so we requested a fan, but it was never delivered. The service desk closes at 5pm. They charge $20 a day for parking, $4 a day per person if you want to use the recreation room. The hottub and heated pool was nice though and the resort is centrally located.
Stay was ok. However I was charged $100 for parking upon checkout even though I did not have a car. I have called repeatedly to ask for a refund, left voicemails and emails with 0 response. This place is affordable (for Vail) but if you run into any problems you’re on your own. Shameless cash grab after I had already spent quite a bit on my stay.
For the price, this place is amazing. Best stocked kitchen I have EVER found. Then whole list of extras you can get from reception - my son got a muffin tray and made muffins every second night. Great pool, soa and sauna. Very comfortable beds. Wow, just wow
