Sonnenalp consistently receives high praise for its exceptional service, prime location in Vail Village, and immaculate property upkeep. While some guests have experienced issues with bed comfort and construction noise, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, particularly regarding concierge service and resort amenities. Recent reviews highlight a strong commitment to guest satisfaction and a luxurious atmosphere.
Christina Alexopoulos is the absolute best !!!! I will never use anyone else for waxing or facials because she is so thorough. Perfect job done each visit! You will not be disappointed :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
I wish we would have had a phenomenal stay after spending over $1500 for two nights...however we were quite disappointed. The staff were lovely and accommodating, the but rooms were subpar, and the beds were quite uncomfortable. The worst part of our stay was the construction noise that happened right outside of our room for the full two days we stayed - this was for aesthetic repairs that the hotel did not warn us about. We did follow-up with the hotel about the noise, however we were not offered any solution except "next time we will place you in a different room." There will be no next time from us, and honestly, if you're looking for a true top tier Vail hotel experience, I recommend the Four Seasons - it is a much more comfortable and luxurious stay.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay, great customer service, room was nice and we loved the heated floor in the bathroom. The location was perfect for walking around the village. Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable.
The location is in the heart of Vail Village. The suite was very well appointed and very cozy and the entire resort was spotless. There were people careful attending to it constantly. The service was excellent, from fresh water bottles and cookies nightly at turndown to just knowing how to care for guests. This property was everything it should be, and the breakfast buffet could end wars.
The Sonnenalp deserves its reputation for excellence. The rooms and service were impeccable. John, the cincierge, went out of his way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. And the location can't be beat. Highly recommended.
