Eagle Point Resort offers spacious rooms with full kitchens and multiple amenities like a heated pool and hot tubs, making it a popular choice for families and travelers seeking an affordable Vail getaway. However, recent reviews highlight ongoing maintenance issues, inconsistent service, and outdated facilities, particularly regarding the building's overall condition and staff attentiveness.
Elevator broken the entire 2 weeks I was there, hot tub broken too. It is a nice place, clean, staff was nice but maintenance issues were not acceptable.
The facility was well kept up! They provided a shuttle ride to and from lionshead village and they also had a full service heated pool, sauna, and two different hot tubs! My room was full of everything to make food and eat which was great! The rooms were spacious with great gathering areas.
Not a bad place and experience overall. The decor and general look of the place is a bit on the older and a bit beat up end but the bed is pretty comfortable and unlike many resorts we've visited my wife and I could sit comfortably together in the living room. No AC but some strong fans in the room and smart placement near the windows help greatly.
We've been coming to EaglePoint for a summer visit for years, and every year there are improvements. Staff is great, knowledgeable and friendly. We love the pool and the appreciation lunch on Tuesdays. The location by Gore Creek is serene and provides easy access to walking, biking, etc. Donovan park is an easy walk for a playground for kids.
AC was broken so we were sweltering our entire stay. You also feel like you’re camping when you stay here because they make it your responsibility to take out your own garbage and keep the place to their standards of tidy. What do your housekeepers even do? The photos are made to look much better than it looks in person. The rooms feel grimy, old carpet, extremely outdated. Would not recommend if your definition of staying at a hotel has anything to do with being able to kick back and relax, and watch out for those sneaky service fees.
Spacious clean rooms with a living room, full kitchen with dish ware , dining room and two full bathrooms. Separate sleeping areas. Location is amazing. Heated pool. Two hot tubs. Only down side is very limited parking. Even for paying guests ,spots were difficult because other people were not mindful and parked over the lines so multiple spots were unavailable. Over all amazing affordable place to stay in Vail.
Excellent service, with kind, friendly, wonderful staff. They were very accommodating and helpful in a variety of contexts. We made a mistake on check-in paperwork - no problem, they corrected it for us in minutes after we noticed. Our car battery died, and they jumped us twice and helped us get to a reliable local mechanic. The rooms are huge, spacious and well laid out. It can be hard to tell from photos, but the bedroom is actually a proper room, separate from the living room, and the kitchen is medium sized. Not huge, but bigger than I had expected. They have both an indoor and an outdoor hot tub, both kept very hot, which we liked.
Recently stayed at Eagle Point Lodge and was underwhelmed and a bit disappointed. Location: If you have your own vehicle you're in good shape if not you're about to find out that every uber ride in Vail is no less than $25.00. There are places with less desireable locations. Eagle point is far west of Vail Village. Although you can hear a pin drop at night. The Grounds/Building: Hey, 1998 called, they want their paint and decor back. The building is very very tired with peeling paint everywhere. The stairs are horribly worn. The HOA clearly allocate very very little money to upkeep. The grounds have 0 curb appeal, the "lobby" office sort of reminds me of the waiting area at my local Midas auto service. If your mind set is "I dont care where I stay I'm only here for the skiing", then youre fine. The Room: Perfectly fine, everything was clean and in perfect working condition. There was 0 decor or effort to keep the rooms in a modern tone but thats either a big deal or totally not depending on your preference. I will say the bed in my room was great and its entirely quiet at night Service/Staff: Wow, like......wow. The staff I interacted with have absolutely 0 training or overall awareness of the words "Hospitality" or "Service". These guys will just nonchalantly walk right by you with no eye contact or a "how are you" etc. They are in their own little world with no concept of being of service to the guests. I sat in the lobby for a bit working on my laptop and these 2 dudes talked for 45 minutes about their stupid electric bikes. They next morning several of us were waiting out front for the shuttle and one of the guys walked out, greeted no one, played with his stupid electric bike and left. I was in the lobby when another guest felt he was assigned the wrong room and was a bit upset. The guy at the front desk did nothing to solve the problem and when the guest left the lobby the emoployee was openingly mocking him. I'm like, "Hey, jackass, I'm right here.....you sure this is the right time to childishly mock that other person?" It became humorous just how tone deaf and detached the "staff" was. I guess you get what you pay for but when it comes to a service mentality that costs nothing and yields tremendous return. Eagle Point is a budget condo. It may work perfect for you just know what its all about.
Nice and quiet location. Friendly shuttle drivers. Front desk staffs could be friendlier. Kitchen ranges and equipment are quite dated, our oven did not work properly. Smaller rooms size. There was a leak in our room ceiling, so we had to move to the same size room on different floor. Thin ceiling, so you could hear guests walking from above, can be bothersome.
Im sure many are attracted to the property because of the cost.. however it comes with a price.. things are broken & not fixed immediately.. there is wood rot on several walkways and the area around the outdoor hot tub, which currently isn’t working.. the front desk personnel could be nicer, let’s not get into the driver who works the shuttle from M-F, never a smile, he’s been here for years…I’m an owner and I’m less than thrilled
